Mr. Kevin Woods of Whiteville passed away on Wednesday May 21, 2017. He was born on March 1, 1958 in East Chicago, Indiana to Hattie Woods Harvey and the late Noble Woods. 

His funeral service was held on Saturday May 27, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Johnson Chapel CME church-Whiteville with Reverend Jerry Crisp delivering the eulogy.  Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service..
Kevin attended several schools in Hardeman County.  He will be remembered by his friends for his love of basketball, which he played in school and the love of softball, which he played with the Outlaw team.
Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents; Galveston Woods, J.B. and Rosie Gibbs. One sister and one brother also preceded him in death.
Kevin accepted Christ at an early age and joined Smith Chapel M.B. Church and never lost his Faith in God and in the Power of Prayer.
Those who will cherish precious memories of Kevin are: his devoted mother; Hattie Harvey: his stepfather; J.C. Harvey: his stepmother; Betty Woods: his loving grandmother who shared a special relationship with him until the end; Mary Ethel   Johnson: three brothers; Antwan (Erin) Woods, Wallace (Lenora) Harvey and Antonio (Sandra) Harvey: three sisters; Renay Gibbs, Malissa Hudson and Tanya Fields: six aunts, four uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
