Aubrey Thomas "Bro" McKinney

1946-2016

Aubrey Thomas McKinney, 69, passed away on Thursday June 23, 2016 at Bolivar General Hospital.  He was born in Hardeman County on December 5, 1946 to the late Aubrey and Rachel Price McKinney.

His funeral service was held on Saturday June 2, 2016 at Mt. Calvary MB Church with Pastor Algie Jarrett in charge.  Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.l

He was raised on a farm and later worked for Howell and Sons Sawmill until he retired.  He attended the Hardeman County public schools.  As a youth he was introduced to Jesus Christ at Simon Chapel MB Church-Whiteville and later joined Temple of Faith Church -Whiteville.    

On September 30, 1990 he married Rosie M. Woods and to this union one daughter was born, Shirlene.

Preceding him in death were eleven siblings, six were infants and others included Harold, Charlie Lewis, Charles Sr. McKinney, Louise Moore and Irene Armour.

He will be missed by his wife Rosie; children, Shirlene (Rodregus) Ozier, Patricia (Larry) Ghee, Michelle Billing, Gregory Genes, Kathryn Woods, and Chiffon Wright; four grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur and Frank (Sophie) McKinnie; three sisters Sally M. Woods,  Tommie (Algie) Jarrett and Pauline Armour; many other relatives and friends.
