BROOKS J MURDOCK

January 15, 1945 ~ June 22, 2017 (age 72)

Brooks Murdock, Jr. was born January 15, 1945 in Hardeman County to the late Brooks Murdock, Sr. and Mary Murdock. Brooks departed this life June 22, 2017 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He attended and graduated from Bolivar Industrial High School  where he was an outstanding student.  He retired from Kilgore Corp. in Toone TN.; there he was a model employee with perfect attendance for many years.
As a child, he was happily converted in a revival service and was baptized and joined Old Bethel  MBC. He was glad to be numbered in a Christian family and did what he could until his health prevented him from being active.  He was in no way ashamed to praise the name of Him who saved him from his sins and whenever his spiritual cup ran over he would “shout!” of his happy soul. He was quiet  in his manner, pleasant towards everyone, very intelligent and enjoyed talking to others. He was lovable character; would let  others know “I’ll be ready when the Lord calls me.”
Brooks was preceded in death by his parents, one sister; Janie B ”Doll” Murdock: two brothers; Thurmond Murdock and Grady            Murdock: and a special nephew; James Earl Murdock.
Brooks leaves to mourn his passing: a lifelong friend/sister; Helen Messenger and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
