Charles Steward

1937-2016

Charles "Tiny" Steward, 79, passed away on Sunday December 18, 2016 at Baptist Hospital-Collierville.  He was born on July 3, 1937 to the late Ephraim Stewart and Cora Bell Lambert.

His funeral service was held on Saturday December 24, 2016 at 1:00 pm at House of Faith Church-Somerville with Minister Dr. Gina Stewart in charge.  Burial was in the Jones Chapel Church Cemetery in Grand Junction and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

While in Chicago, IL he was employed with Eastern Airlines and National Car Rental.  He returned to Tennessee, confessed a hope in Jesus Christ and joined Jones Chapel MB Church-Grand Junction. 

He was married to Floyce Murdock and to this union here children were born.. He was a loving person  with a passion for working on cars and making people laugh.

Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers, Willie and Lepolian Stewart and three sisters, Cora Lee Wright, Alice Lambert and Ora Mae Lewis.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife; one son, Melvin (Marilyn) Stewart and two daughters, Priscilla Stewart and Tisa (Dock Davis) Stewart; three sisters, Mattie Louise Stewart, Bobbie Nell (Charlie) Walton and Thelma  (Walter) Hill; One brother Ozell Stewart; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friend that will miss him.
