DELOIS NEELY JONES

April 17, 1953 ~ November 2, 2017 (age 64)

Ms. Delois Neely was born on April 17, 1953 to the late Henry Neely Jr. and Daisy Bell Crowder Neely. She departed this life after a valiant fight with breast cancer on November 2, 2017, at the age of 64. 

Her funeral service was held on Sunday November 5, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Union Hill MB Church-Whiteville, TN  with Pastor Nathan Gibbs in charge with burial in the Church Cemetery.  Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service. 

On October 21, 1975, she married Astor Bernard Jones. To this union, three children were born.

Delois confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with the Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Whiteville, Tennessee where she remained a member until death.
Delois attended school in Hardeman County. She was passionate about cooking and held various positions in the food service industry throughout her life until she retired.
Delois was preceded in death by her loving husband; Astor Bernard Jones: her father and mother; Henry Neely Jr. and Daisy Bell Crowder Neely: three sisters; Ocie Taylor and Ressie Taylor and Cornelia Neely.

Delois leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters; Tawana (David) Overton of Rochester, MN., Terry Carr of Jackson, TN., and Hazel Jones of Aurora, CO.: four brothers; William (Sabrina) Neely Sr. of Detroit MI., Reverend Earlie (Willie Mae) Neely of Rockford, Il., Travis (Patricia) Neely of Indianapolis, IN., and Len (Patricia) Neely of Rockford, IL.: six sisters; Virginia (Edward) Hunt of Rockford, IL., Anna Neely of Rockford, IL. Ethel Morrow of Rockford, IL., Florence (Gerald) Johnson of Jackson, TN., Annette Neely of Bolivar, TN., and Dianne (Weldon) Phelps of Jackson, TN.: one aunt; Ruby Bass of Whiteville, TN.: four grandchildren; Kyeisha Vinson, Michael Carr II, Lily Obi and Jorryn Overton and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
