Dorothy was born June 30, 1931 to the late Mr. Richard E. Jimmerson and the late Dazzie Lee Jimmerson of Toone, TN. She was affectionally known as “Doc”.
A Time To Be Put To Rest
Her funeral service was held on Saturday September 9, 2017 at 12:00 pm at Clover Chapel MB Church -Cloverport with Reverend Wayne Wooden in charge. Burial was in the Jimmerson Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
A Time To Live
Dorothy attended school in Hardeman County and graduated from Allen White High School. She lived in Toone, TN her entire life.
Dorothy was employed by Hardeman County School System where she was a faithful employee until her Failing health. She had a passion for working with children.
A Time To Serve
At an early age, Dorothy was baptized and became a member of Clover Chapel Baptist Church where she remained a member until her death.
A Time To Die
On September 4, 2017 at 4:00 a.m. at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. God called Dorothy “Do” Louise Ellison to come home to rest.
A Time To Mourn
Those remembering and cherishing her fond memories: Her loving husband, Arthur William Ellison; Daughter: Debra (Norman) Cobb of Medon, TN, Sons: Theodore (Gwen) Ellison of Bolivar, TN, Ronnie Ellison of Toone, TN, Milton (Marie) Ellison of Huntsville, AL, and Herman Clay (Monice) Ellison of Chester, VA; and Sister: Edna Chism of Bolivar, TN.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Rosie Wooden, Ezell Macon, May Louis Toone, Lovie Chism, Clovis Jimmerson, James Jimmerson, Joe Jimmerson, Ernest Jimmerson and other family members: Jimmy Toone, LC Chism, JB Wooden, and Ofella Jimmerson.
Others to mourn her memories are; In-laws: Hugholene (Evelyn) Robertson, Charles Edward (Mary Ann) Ellison, Martha Mae Jimmerson, Virginia Jimmerson, Robert Macon, Doris Jimmerson, twenty-eight grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
