Eddie Maurice Hamer
1977-2014
Eddie Maurice Hamer, 36, of Bolivar passed away suddenly on January 27, 2014. He was born on April 25, 1977 in Memphis to Rosa Willis Hamer and the late Eddie Lee Hamer.
His funeral service was held on Saturday February 2, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Jerome Boyd Chapel at Dixie Funeral Home with Reverend Gene Bowden in charge. Burial was in the Oak Hill Church Cemetery-Bolivar and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.
He was a 1996 graduate of Middleton High School. After high school he attended Whiteville Technology Center. He confessed a hope in Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Hopewell MB Church-Grand Junction.
Eddie was employed at many locations in the area including but not limited to Sav-A-Lot, Creekmore's Food Stores, CCA, Hardeman County Solid Waste faclity, Board of Education as a bus driver, Animal Control officer. He was a City of Whiteville Police Department reserve officer and volunteer on site security for Whiteville Elementary School.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother and three sisters, Lora Jenkins, Sharon (Freddie) Franklin and Erica Hamer; uncles and aunts include Johnnie Lake, Delphus (Frankie) Hicks, Leroy (Tolesa) and Ernest (Joy) Willis and Louise Nelson; many other relatives and friends that will truly miss him.
