EDNA LUCILLE CHISM

March 30, 1929 ~ January 20, 2018 (age 88)

Edna Lucille Chism was born March 30, 1929 to the late Mr. Richard E. Jimmerson and the late Dazzie Lee Jimmerson of Toone, Tennessee. She was known as Aunt Ekkie. On January 20, 2018 at 5:23 A.M. at Bolivar General Hospital God’s angels called Edna Lucille Chism to come home to rest.

Her funeral service was held on Saturday January 27, 2018 at 2:00 pm Clover Chapel MB Church in Cloverport,Tn with Reverend Wayne Wooden in charge.  Burial was in the Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband L.C. (Stat) Chism, her son Arthur Jean Chism and her siblings Rosie Wooden, Ezell Macon, May Lois Toone, Dorothy “Doc” Ellison, Lovie Chism, Clovis Jimmerson Sr., James Jimmerson, Joe Jimmerson and Ernest Jimmerson.

Edna attended school in Hardeman County. She was employed at Kilgore Flares, Harmon Automotives and a Homemaker. She loved cooking, watching TV and spending time with her family.

At an early age Edna accepted Christ and became a member of Clover Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She served as an usher and remained a member until her death.

She leaves to cherish her memories seven daughters and two sons: Helen (Willie) Peoples, Lois Dania Jordan and Glenda Chism of Milan, TN. Earnestine Culver of Germantown, MD., Joyce (Lonnie) Stewart of Gibson, TN, Eva Anderson and Nellie Chism of Toone, TN; sons Joseph Chism of Toone, TN., and Ulysses (Alfreda) Chism of Trezevant, TN. She has fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren. She also leaves to cherish her memories two brother-in-laws Arthur William Ellison and Jimmy Chism, six sister-in-laws Virginia Jimmerson, Martha Mae Jimmerson, Doris Jimmerson, Mary (Milton) Harris, Lura B. Johnson and Nezzie Ellison and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
