ERNEST FRANK FENTRESS

June 3, 1932 ~ October 6, 2017 (age 85)

Ernest Frank Fentress, was born June 3, 1932 into this life from the blessed union of the late Willie and Addie Lee (Winston)  Fentress.  He was the thirteenth child of fourteen children.  He was preceded in death by his parents: his son; Harold Hunter: his sisters; Elnora, Elvira and Lottie: his brothers; Henry, Dock, David, Austin, Edgar, William, Luther, Pete, Edward and Love.
Ernest Frank exodus occurred October 6, 2017 at 6:15am at Jackson General Hospital, in Jackson, TN.  God embraced Ernest Frank in His love, exchanging time for eternity.

His funeral service was held on Saturday October 14, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Jerome Boyd Chapel at Dixie Funeral Home.  Burial was in the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery-Shelby County, Tennessee.  
Ernest was affectionately known as “Frank” to his many cousins and friends.  Ernest Frank confessed faith in Christ at an early age and attended school in Hardeman County.  Frank enlisted in the Army (Korean War) and worked at Santa Fe Railroad, Form Fit Garment, and United Airlines where he retired in early 1970’s.  Then went on to be a successful entrepreneur; owner/operator of Franks Liquors and Franks Thrifty Foods.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving daughter; Sherral (Willie) Fentress Mitchell of Chicago, IL: one granddaughter; E’Toya Sain (Johnathan McClain) of Park Forest, IL: one grandson; Andre’ (Lacey) Sain of Chicago, IL: three great-grandchildren; Andre’ Jr., Nasir, and Johnna: his beloved ex-wife; Shirley Fentress of Glenwood, IL.: one sister-in-law; Eloise Fentress of Bolivar, Tn.: three brothers-in-laws; Issac (Geneva) McKinnie of Bolivar, TN., Dr. Baba El Senzengakulu Zulu of Washington, D.C. and Johnnie B. McKinnie of Memphis, TN. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
