FERRY LEWAYNE GLASS

April 13, 1960 ~ March 25, 2017 (age 56)

Ferry “Fearl” Glass was born to Earl Brown and the late Minnie Pearl Glass on April 13, 1960 in Benton County, Mississippi.

His funeral service was held on Sunday April 2, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Bethel MB Church with Minister Carmonted Duncan in charge.  Burial was in the Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com in charge of the professional service.

Ferry accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Mount Bethel Baptist Church while living in Michigan City, MS.

Ferry spent some time in Illinois, but his deep love was of the land and soil of the farm. He enjoyed horseback riding, meeting and chatting with people and spending time with family and friends. Fearl had a passion for his horses.  He especially enjoyed wearing his plaid shirts, jeans, cowboy boots and hat all topped with his long black riding trench coat. A cowboy at heart. He loved attending horse shows, rodeos, parades, auctions, and even attended the annual mule show in Nashville, Tennessee. Fearl was a true country western “good ole” kind of guy who will be missed by the many number of people who loved him.

In addition to being preceded in death by his mother, Minnie also were his beloved grandparents Thurmon and Gladys Glass and an uncle, Charles Glass.

Ferry leaves to cherish his memories: a farther, Earl Brown; a sister, Roshell (Matthew) Bowman of Dayton, OH; two nieces: Ferrica and Zerrica Rucker, both of Ohio; seven aunts: Bernice Kimbrough of Bellwood, IL, Ozell Glass of Pomon, CA, Cozell Bryant of Colliverville, TN, Lue Cathey, of Olive Branch, MS,  Brendia (Walter) Griggs of Michigan City, MS, Dorothy Brown of Dayton, OH and Lovie Dale Brown of St. Louis, MO; two great nephew, Ra’Marion and Parker of Ohio.
