JOE ROGER PARHAM

July 24, 1942 ~ February 27, 2017 (age 74)

Joe Parham was born July 24, 1942 to the late Mr. Roger and Mrs. Ophelia Parham.

His funeral service was held on Saturday March 4, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Greater Springfield MBC-Bolivar with Pastor Robert Parham in charge.  Burial was in the Bolivar Community cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

On Monday, February 27, 2017, Joe gently closed his eyes and went to meet his savior.

Joe was educated in the Hardeman County School System. He graduated from Allen-White High School in Whiteville, Tennessee. He served his county as part of the United States Army.

Joe was united in Holy Matrimony with Clara Ruth Robinson on August 4, 1965. Three children were born to this union: Joe Jr., Rogina and Rodney.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Katherine and Mamie, his son, Rodney and a granddaughter, Shatoya.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 51 years, Ruth Parham; a daughter, Rogina Neely; two sons: Joe Jr. (Tammy) Parham and Dewayne (Angela) Futrell; seven grandchildren, three grand grand children, two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
