JOHN HENRY MORGAN

January 25, 1936 ~ February 5, 2017 (age 81)

John Henry Morgan, 81, of Whiteville passed away on Sunday February 5, 2017.  He was born on January 25, 1936 to the late Robert Wesley "Whit" Morgan and Ollie Mae Crowder Morgan.  

His funeral service was held on Saturday February 11, 2017 at 11:00 am at Union Hill MBC-Whiteville with Pastor Jerry Crisp in charge.  Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

He received Jesus Christ as his Savior at a young age and joined Union Hill MBC where he served on the Usher Board and sang in the Male Chorus.  He received his education in the Hardeman County public schools attending Allen-White School.  

On November 10, 1965 he married Lucille Walton and to this union one child was born, Louise Morgan (Jimmy) Young.  He was alos father to another daughter, Patricia Bufford (James) Beauregard.  

On June 13, 2002 he married the late Janice Robinson.  Two children were added to his family Anthony "Tony"  and Wanda Robinson.

He was employed with Armira Corporation.  

He enjoyed attending church and many other hobbies.  He had a saying he was knownfor "It's good to be here".

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three brothers, Joe Lewis and Thomas Morgan and Danny Haynes, Jr.; two sisters, Ollie Mae Morgan Beauregard and Gladys Mae Haynes Sain.

He leaves to cherish his memory his two daughters; one stepson and a his step daughter; four sisters, Louise Morgan (R.V.) McNeal,  Mattie Bell (Jackie) Beard, Fannie lee Bowers and Beatrice Bratton; his former wife; six grand children and one great grandson; many other relatives and friends that will truly miss him.
