At 11:30 pm Tuesday night June 8, 2016, God called an angel home to rest. Mr. Junior was delivered from an ailing body to better serve him above.

Mr. Pirtle was born October 11, 1937 to the late Albert and Mary  Pirtle of Whiteville, Tennessee. He grew up in Hardeman County and attended the public school.

His funeral service was held on Saturday June 18, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Jerome Boyd Chapel @ Dixie Funeral Home in Bolivar, TN with Reverend Johnny Shaw  in charge.  Burial was in Bolivar Community Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

He accepted Christ at an early age at Antioch MB Church.

Mr. Pirtle was proceeded in death by, both parents, one son: Rickey McNeal, one sister: Shirley Beard.

He leaves behind one sister: Sarah Coleman of Jackson, TN, one Aunt: Tempie Ann Stewart of Memphis, TN; five daughters: Louise McNeal of Jackson, TN, Patricia (Udell) Jones, Wendy Campbell, Micky McNeal, Sonya Woods, all of Bolivar, TN, seven sons: Rell (Ava) McNeal of Jackson, TN, Leon (Michelle) McNeal, Mark (Cassandra) McNeal, Lynn McNeal, Mannix McNeal, all of Bolivar, TN, James (Liz) Pirtle of Los Cruces, New Mexico; and Ronnie Pirtle of Chicago, IL, twenty-five grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, and a step grand-son, that he raised as his own, Antron Turner, and a dear friend Leebertha Turner of Bolivar, TN.
