LEE NORRIS WILKES

November 26, 1959 ~ February 26, 2017 (age 57)

Lee Norris Wilkes “Moon” was born in Whiteville, Tn, on November 26, 1959, to Bettie B. Wilkes Herron and the late Nora Lee Wilkes. God sent his loving Angels to his home to call him to eternal rest.

His funeral service was held on Saturday March 4, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Simon Chapel MBC-Whiteville with Pastor Jeffery Bledose in charge.  Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

Lee never met a stranger. Lee loved the Lord. He confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at Simon Chapel MB Church. Lee graduated from Bolivar Central High School in 1978. He retired from Western Mental Health Inst. with 30 years of service.

His loving memories will always be cherished by his mother, Bettie B. Herron, his siblings: Belinda Gibbs, James T. Gibbs, Annette Givhan, Terrance R. (Christine) Wilkes, Gwendolyn (James) Selmer, Rafus Wilkes, Sandra Robinson-Tynes, Darrin (Delene) Price, Michelle (Wayne) Jackson and Nolan (Serita) Wilkes.

He leaves two special aunts: Odessia Wilkes and Jeanette Brooks, one special uncle: Linzell (Betty) Woods, two special nieces: Aisha Jones and Lakachia (Jekulve) Hale (who he loved to spoil); one god grand child, Shaun (Shereka) Phinnesse and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives.
