Obituary

Mr. Lee E. Woods died Thursday, November 17, 2016, at Jackson General Hospital at the age of 70.

Lee was born to Ms. Annie Mae Brown and Mr. Essex Woods on January 30, 1946, in Hardeman County, Tennessee.  Lee received his education and graduated from Bolivar Industrial located in Bolivar, TN.

Shortly after he graduated, Lee joined the armed forces (Army) and was a part of the Vietnam War.  He served three years before being honorably discharged & was awarded a Purple Heart medal.  It was during this time that he met and wed his beautiful wife, Jackie (Thomas) Woods.  Lee worked at Harman Automotives for a number of years, until the manufacturing facility closed down.  He then became employed with Carrier Corporation in Collierville, TN, before retiring.

Lee was truly blessed.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jackie Woods; his father, Essex Woods; three brothers, Raymond Parram, Leon Woods, and Masifield Woods; and two sisters, Annie Belle Scates and Denise Woods.  He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Annie Mae Brown; one son, Kenneth Woods; daughter, Rolanda Woods; grandson, Remmy Woods, two granddaughters, Cordaisia Beauregard and Aubree Johnson; eight brothers, Willie Brown, Joel Brown, Cecil Tiller, Frank Woods, Chester Woods, Larry Woods, Terrance Woods, and Bruce Woods; eight sisters, Mydelle Bledsoe, Sandra Parram, Jessie Tiller, Deborah Parram, Novella Justice, Dessie Elmore, Emma Thompson, and Teresa Woods; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.
