MARY ALICE (SHAW) HARRIS

December 10, 1960 ~ November 26, 2017 (age 56)

Ms. Mary Alice Shaw-Harris was born December 10, 1960 in Stanton, Tn to Rebecca Shaw and the late J. W. Shaw. 

Her funeral service was held on Saturday December 2, 2017 at 12:00 noon at St. John MB Church-Stanton, TN with Pastor J. W. Shaw in charge with burial in the Church Cemetery.  Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service. 

Ms. Mary Alice Shaw-Harris accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of St. John MB Church and later joined Zion Temple Worship Center in Bolivar, Tn. She attended Haywood County Public Schools. 

On Sunday, November 26, 2017, God gently closed her eyes and whispered "Peace be Thine." 

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Walter Harris; two daughters: Latasha Shaw of Brownsville, Tn and Shantel Shaw of Jackson, Tn; four grandchildren: Markel Shaw, Jakobe Shaw, Javontay Shaw and Ja'kyra Shaw, her mother, Rebecca Shaw; three sisters: Carolyn Banks of Memphis, Tn, Shirley (Johnny) Johnson of Brownsville, Tn, Rebecca Bufford of Nashville, Tn; two brothers, Jerry (Carolyn) Shaw and J. W. Shaw, Jr of Brownsville, Tn, two aunts, Emma Peeples  of Brownsville, Tn and Rosie Martin of Louisville, Ky; three uncles, Ivy and Charlie Hopson of Louisville, TN and Lewis Elery of Brownsville, TN, and a host of cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
