MILDRED PRICE LAKE

May 22, 1932 ~ January 16, 2017 (age 84)

Mildred Price Lake, 84, of Bolivar passed away on Monday January 16, 2017.  She was born on May 22, 1932 in Hardeman County to the late Lonzie Price and Jennie Neely Price.  

Her funeral service was held on Saturday January 21, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Old Bethel MBC-Middleburg with Pastor Charlie Boyle in charge.  Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.  

She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Old Bethel MBC with her family.  She attended the Hardeman County public schools and graduated from Allen-White School-Whiteville.  She was married to J. D. Lake and they relocated to Chicago. She returned to Hardeman County and was employed with Western Mental Health where she retired after thirty years of service.  

She was the biological mother of five.

Preceding her in death was her husband and one daughter, Laquita Perry, her parents, three sisters (Mary Conner, Henretta Taylor and Lucy Avent) and three brothers (Jimmy, Roosevelt and Len Price).

She leaves to cherish her memory her remaining children, Kelvin (Louise) and Glenn (Chandra) Lake, Ava (Fredell) Wilkes and Valerie Casey; one sister, Martha Ruth Richardson; two brothers, Willie Ray and Austin Price; fifteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends that will truly miss her.
