FEBRUARY 12, 1963 ~ MARCH 14, 2018 (AGE 55)

Mr. Ned Joy was born on February 12, 1963, in Bolivar, Tennessee to Walter Joy, Jr. and Liller Mae Joy. He was called home to eternal rest on March 14, 2018.

His funeral service was held on Saturday March 24, 2018 at Church Road Church of Christ at 12:00 noon with Pastor Arthur Lee McKinnie charge.  Burial was in the Church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service

He attended Bolivar Central High and graduated in 1983. He accepted Christ at an early age as his personal savior and joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He was well known for his hard work and dedication at many sawmills and for his cheerful and playful personality. Ned was preceded in death by his twin Ted Joy, Levi Joy, and Walter Joy, III.

He leaves to cherish his memories his parents Walter Joy, Jr. and Liller Mae Joy; a wife, Joyce Joy; one daughter, Shatoya (Tory) Blakemore of Bolivar, TN; eight grandchildren, five boys and three girls: Jaquan Blakemore, Javon Blakemore, Shakiya Blakemore, Tamya Blakemore, Sicarra Blakemore, Jakarian Blakemore, Kentravious Blakemore, Shatoria Brown; six brothers: Charlie (Shirley) Joy, Otha L. Joy, Worley R. Joy, Eddie (Peggy) Joy, Michael L. Joy all of Whiteville, TN and Avery (Thelma) Joy of Grand Junction, TN; one sister: Patricia (David) Perry of Saulsbury, TN; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
