Rosie departed this earthy life on February 13, 2018. Rosie “Ester” Jones was born in Hardeman County on February 3, 1943 to the late Ed and Estella Jones.
Her funeral service was held on Saturday February 17, 2018 at Johnson Chapel CME Church-Whiteville at 1:00 pm with Reverend Eugene in charge of the service. Burial was in the Hillville Cemetery-Haywood County and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
Rosie attended Allen White, Browns, and German Schools. Rosie confessed a belief in Christ at an early age and joined Johnson Chapel C.M.E. Church. She remained
a faithful member until her health prohibited her from attending. Rosie was employed at the Egg Plant in Vildo, Tn.
She was preceded in death by her brothers: William Jones, L.V. McKinney and Thomas Jones: one daughter; Susie Jones: one son in law; Junior Roads. She leaves to cherish her memory: three daughters; Jessie Roads and Teresa (Lawrence) Jones of Bolivar, TN. and Kresha (LeVearn) Jones of Hickory Valley, TN: one son; Pastor Eugene (Debra) Jones of Jackson, TN: three sisters; Essie Jones, Shirley Jones and Lucy (Sanford) Spencer: two brothers; Ed Jones and Donnell Jones both of Whiteville, TN. One sister in law; Ora McKinney: three special grandchildren she raised as her own; Laquena (Corey) Tomlin, Shaquena Jones and Kadeirdra Bufford: eleven grand children: eleven great grand children: two aunts; Ida Woods and
Betty Jane Simon: one uncle; Milton Sails: two special children she also helped raised; Jebrian Tubbs and Kyle Prewitt and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other family.
