Shirley Beatrice (Perry) Beauregard was born on May 17, 1938 in Hardeman County to the late Thomas and Ellie B. Reaves-Perry.
Her funeral service was held on Saturday January 28, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Mt. Salem MBC-Hickory Valley, TN with Pastor Melvin Bufford in charge. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of the Mt. Salem MB Church.
Shirley graduate from Bolivar Industrial School in Hardeman County, TN. Following her graduation, she was married to Cody Columbus Beauregard. They lived in Fulton, KY and later she moved to Detroit, MI, there she joined St. Galilee MB Church. She was a faithful member of the choir and usher ministry.
After retirement from RainDance technologies, Shirley returned home to Saulsbury, TN. There she met a special friend, Charlie Ray DuBose who remained until her death.
Shirley had an indescribable love for children and through this love, she became a foster parent for the Hardeman County DCS. Her passion allowed her to raise Michael Patrick and Leona Carter and later go on to adopt Takindra Sharde Beauregard and Mark Anthony Beauregard. Her care and concern for children led her to help nuture and raise many children throughout her life (Jaworski & Tvarski Beauregard, DeAntairion Armour & Elijah McNeal, Cierra Mayhue & Siriurus Readers).
Shirley was employed at Pine Meadows Healthcare (Formally known as Care Inn) in Bolivar, TN until her retirement.
On Saturday, January 21st, Shirley Beatrice Beauregard departed this life at Methodist Lebonheur Hospital in Germantown, TN. She said she was tired and God allowed her to take a rest. Shirley was preceded in death by two sisters: Annie Mae Perry and Opaline McBride and three brothers: Frederick Cleveland Perry, Thomas Perry, Jr., and Willie C. Perry.
She leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory, her beloved Charlie Ray “Rayford” DuBose of Saulsbury, TN; two children: Takindra Beauregard of Saulsbury, TN, Mark Beauregard of Jackson, TN, three grandchildren: Brylee and Bryson Brown, and Omari Beauregard, three brothers, Rev. David L. (Doris) Perry, Sr. of Middleton, TN, Leroy (Gladia) Perry of Saulsbury, TN, Dennis Perry of Saulsbury, TN, three sisters: Katherine Perry of Saulsbury, TN, Dorothy (Joseph) Beauregard of Bolivar, TN, and Helen (Lewis) Buford of Milwaukee, WI and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
