Shirley Jean Brown was born to the late Silas and  Luvoda Cheshier Brown on April 16, 1937. She was one of ten children.

Her funeral service was held on Saturday June 18, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Greater Springfield MB Church in Bolivar, TN with Pastor Robert Parram in charge.  Burial was in Bolivar Community Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

She was proceeded in death by one sister;  Louise  Robinson: three brothers; William Brown,  Silas Brown Jr. and Jerry Brown.

Shirley was raised in Bolivar, TN and attended Hardeman County School System.

She confessed hope in Christ and joined  Greater Springfield MBC where she was a faithful  member of the choir until her death.

Shirley was employed at Kilgore Flares for forty five years.  She was very active and well known in her neighborhood.

Shirley leaves to cherish her wonderful memories: one daughter; Renee’ Brown of Bolivar TN.: two sons; Waymon Brown of Detroit Michigan and   Thomas Brown of South Bend IN:  five sisters;  Ethel Franklin of Jackson TN.,  Dorothy (Earnest) Rivers, Cathy (Robert) Woods, Willie Brown, and Georgia Rivers all of Bolivar, TN.: five grandchildren; Casey Rivers, Teresa Brown, Darrell Brown, Thomas Brown, and Latonya Brown: a number of great grand children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
