Reverend William Earl Armour, 66, of Bolivar died on Friday March 18, 2016 in Jackson after a short illness. He was born in Hardeman County on February 28, 1950 to the late Mary McNeal and Booker T. Armour.
His funeral service was held on Saturday March 26, 2016 at 11:00 am at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church-Bolivar with Pastor Algie Jarrett officiating. Burial was in the Bolivar Community Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.
He attended Allen-White and Bolivar Industrial Schools and was employed with Bolivar Wood Products.
He professed a hope in Jesus Christ at a young age and joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where his membership remained. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Irene Armour and two brothers, Roosevelt and David Lee Armour.
He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Richard Lee McKinnie; one daughter, Tammy Long; one step son, Robert Armour; four sisters, Josephine Blaylock, Josie Armour, Linda (Royal ) Green and Beverly Armour; three brothers, Joe (Evelyn), Elvis and Dennis (Shirley) Armour; a nephew and cousin raised as a brother and sister, Robert (Mardean) Armour and Gordan McNeal; many other relatives and friends that will miss him.
