William (Jessie) Parks, Jr.

1955-2016

William (Jessie) Parks, Jr. 60, of Bolivar died on Monday July 4, 2016 in Memphis after a lengthy illness.  He was born September 5, 1955 in Hardeman County to J.W. Parks and the late Betty Jean Parks.  

His funeral service was held on Saturday July 9, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Jerome Boyd Chapel at Dixie Funeral Home.  Burial was in the Bolivar Community Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home (dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.

He attended the Hardeman County public schools and was a member of the Elcanaan Baptist Church-Whiteville.  He worked several years as a delivery person for Hudson Drugs and later with Howell and Sons lumber yard.  

He had three children with Doris Green Parks.

Preceding him in death was an infant son and his mother.

He leaves to cherish his memory his father; three daughters, Shakelia Parks, Lawanda Forbes and LaKeisha Price; three sons, William Parks, Gary Parks and Randy Lake; one brother Joseph Parks;  fourteen grandchildren;  and many other relatives and friends that will truly miss him.
