My deepest sympathy to the Mckinnie's family. I loved Mr. Willie. He was so helpful to me when working with D.C.S. and helpful in making a difference with students'.

Willie and I were students together at East Tennessee State University working on our Master's Degree in Counseling. We were also colleagues as Resident Directors in the residence halls. Willie was a good friend and colleague, and he was especially dedicated to his residents. He managed an apartment complex that housed the athletes. He was able to gain their respect and trust by the manner in which he engaged them with dignity and respect. I learned a lot from him, and I knew then that he would continue to have a huge positive impact on many, many people over his lifetime. I was saddened to learn of his illness and death, but I know his spirit lives on in family, friends and all who were fortunate enough to have known him. Blessings to his family and friends. Rest in the arms of your Lord my friend.
