Rodney “Randy” Joy was born May 27, 1965 to the late Cleaster Joy and Robert Nelson Polk. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents,
Rosie and Lee Toy Polk and his maternal grandparents, Ester and Robert Johnson who reared him.

His funeral service was held on Saturday October 27, 2018 at 12:00 pm at God's House Of Promise with Reverend Roscoe Gudger in charge.  Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
He grew up in the East Bolivar area and attended schools in Hardeman County. As a young man, he joined the New Bethel Baptist Church in Bolivar, TN. He enjoyed playing and socializing with his friends on Parham’ Loop in Bolivar, TN.
He married Wendy Moore. Rodney was employed by the Dietary Department at Austin Pea University in Clarksville, TN. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife: Wendy Joy, two daughters: Ta’Vishia LaWan and Rashika-Shane Denail Anderson of Bolivar, TN., two sisters: Satoria
(Charles) Davis of Bolivar, TN and Carmella Joy of Memphis, TN., five brothers: Maurice Polk, of Nashville, TN., Marcus Joy, Jefferick Joy, and Lawrence Edward Jones (Teresa) of Bolivar, TN., and Ronnie Morgan of Whiteville, TN., one step-brother: Hosea Cheairs of Bolivar, TN., three granddaughters: Ta’Nishia Ja’Kiyah Anderson, Chelsea Denail and Kelsea Denail Sain of Bolivar, TN., one grandson: Bryson Ki’Juan Anderson of Bolivar, TN., one step-daughter: Quanisha Moore (Kiara Beasley) of Clarksville, TN., three stepsons: Joshua (April) Smith, Darius (Catherine) Moore and Robert Moore; five stepgrandchildren:
Armoni Zenthofer, Gracilynn Smith, Ella Owens, Avery Moore and Kaprice Hooker and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and coworkers.
