Cathy E (Brown) Woods

Cathy Elizabeth Woods was born to the late Silas and Luvonda Brown in Bolivar, Tn on August 31, 1948. She was one of many siblings with sisters: Louise Robertson, Shirley Brown, Georgia Rivers and Willie Brown, brothers; Silas Jr., Jerry King, Hugh Brown, William Silas Brown preceding her death.
Her funeral service was on Sunday July 2, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Greater Springfield MB Church with Pastor Robert Parham in charge. Burial was in the Bolivar Community cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
Cathy grew up in Bolivar, Tn and attended schools in the Hardeman County School system. God was found at an early age and she became a member of Zion Temple No 1 and then later joined Greater Springfield MB Church and remainded there until her health failed. She was a faithful member of the choir and kitchen committee.
On June 8, 1964, Cathy exchanged marital vows with Mr. A.D. RiversSr. and to this union two children were born; Sharon G. Rivers of Bolivar, Tn and A.D. (D.D.) Rivers, who proeceded her in death.
On July 24, 1991, Cathy remarried and exchanged marital vows with Mr. Robert E. Woods, to this union, a daughter was born, Ebony M. Woods.
Cathy Elizabeth Woods transitioned leaving behind, her husband: Robert E. Woods; two daugthers: Sharon G. Rivers (Earnestine Woods), Ebony (Ceadrick) Woods; two grand daughters: Kedriunna and Lyunna Woods, one grandson: Cemetrius Gibson, special kids: Dandricus Woods, Antonio Woods, Ozell Robertson, Jr., Marriah Cheairs, Terrel Cheairs, Ariel Cheairs; three sisters: Dorothy Rivers, Ethel (Samuel Lee) Harris of Memphis, Tn, Dianne (Robert Henry) Jones of Gulfport, MS, Edna (Johnnie) Font of Memphis, Tn, Jacquelyn Perry of Memphis, Tn, Debra Turner of Long Beach, CA, Shirley Cross, Mary Coby, Annie Cross al of Bolivar, Tn, Rhonda Cross of Jackson, Tn, Terry Cross, Greg Cross of Bolivar, Tn, Larry (Brenda) Cross of Nashville, Tn the late Freddie, David, and Kenneth Cross and Talethia Traylor and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and church family that will miss her dearly.
