Frankie Lue Bowers Champion Johnson, 79, passed away on Friday January 14, 2022.  She was born in Whiteville on February 16, 1942 to the late Willie Sam Bowers and Ethel Mae Woods Bowers.  

Her funeral service was held on Saturday January  22, 2022 at 10:30 am at the Jerome Boyd Chapel at Dixie Funeral Home with Pastor Donell Colbert in charge.  Burial was in the Campbell Chapel MB Church Cemetery-Bolivar, Tn and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

She accepted Jesus Christ at a young age and joined Union Springs MB Church.  She attended school at Allen-White and was employed thirty-five years with Western Mental Health Hospital.  

She loved to travel and enjoyed her children when they would come home on vacations.  

Preceding her in death were her parents; sons Kenneth, Phillip and Andrew Champion; a daughter, Mary Champion; grandsons Antwain and Phillip J. Champion; a sister, Barbara Jackson and brothers, Earl, Willie B. and Lamont Bowers.  

She leaves to cherish her memory sons, Levoird, Jr., Anthony (Jean), Stacy (Keisha), Wantha Ray (Yvette) and Murriel (Tonya) Champion; grandchildren Stephanie (Brian) Watson and Ashley-Ryan "Pap" Champion; a brother, Roosevelt (AJ) Bowers; three sisters, Mattie Neely, Ada and Maxine Bowers; and a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her.
