George Junior Chism  "Buster" 

October 9, 1959 ~ June 11, 2022 (age 62)

On Saturday, June 11, 2022 @ 4:35AM at the Memphis Veterans Hospital, Memphis, TN; veteran, George Jr. “Buster” Chism was summoned by God to come home and rest from all his pains and discomforts. Veteran George Jr. Chism was born October 9, 1959 in Hardeman County, TN to the late Katie Imogene “Hank” Chism Taylor.

His funeral service was held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11 am at Hillfield MB Church in Toone, Tn with Pastor George Beauregard in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home was in charge of the Professional Service. 

Buster was the product of a strong family consisting of four brothers and two sisters. He played basketball in school for Toone Bobcats and graduated from Bolivar Central High School in 1978. Buster loved his family. The adventures of his early childhood with his cousins and friends was exciting!!!

Buster continued to excel and joined the armed forces, (Army) with his buddy, James Crews in active duty July 24, 1979 thru July 23, 1982 and the reserves from July 23, 1982 thru July 2, 1985. To name a few. Buster enjoyed time watching the Green Bay Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Sports Cards Collection and most of all camping out in his tent, adoring God’s creation; feeding the birds, squirrels, deers, etc.

Buster was preceded in death by his mother; the late Katie Imogene “Hank” Chism Taylor and one sibling; Greg M. Hill: one very close cousin; Richard Clark: two uncles; Eugene Hill and Roger Hill: one aunt; Katherine Whitford.

George Buster leaves to cherish his memories: his father; George I. Hill (Etta) of Cincinnati, OH: three brothers; Jessie Chism ( Betty) of Bolivar, TN, Anthony Hill (Gina) and Professor Joseph Hill of Cincinnati, OH: two sisters; Wanda Robinson (Albert) of Bolivar, TN and Alta Miller (Mathew) of Cincinnati, OH: two special aunts: Nezzie Ellison(101 years old) of Jackson, TN and Mary Chism Harris (Milton) of Louisville, KY: three aunts; Florestine Hill McIntyee, Ethel Lou Hill, and Betty Hill: four uncles; Elahu Hill (Lorene), Alfred Hill (Debbie), Clarence Hill, and Thomas Whitford. George leaves behind two very close nephews; Donty who would often call and check on him and Donyell who was like a son: two special friends; Terry Harris and John L. Fentress: one special cousin; Johnny Whitford: a very special supportive niece; Josie Misola and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
