James Irving Cobb

July 5, 1957 ~ February 17, 2020 (age 62)

James Irving Cobb passed away on Monday February 20, 2020 in Jackson.  He was born on July 5, 1957 to Beadie Cobb Hudson and the late Willie Hudson. 

His funeral service was held on Saturday February 22, 2020 at 11:00 am in the Clover Chapel MB Church with Reverend George Beauregard in charge.  Burial was in the Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.

He accepted Jesus Christ at a young age and joined Clover Chapel MBC. 

He attended the Hardeman County public schools and graduated from Bolivar Central High School.  He was employed for many years with Standard Construction Company.

He enjoyed sports,  watching television and teasing his nieces and nephews. 

He was married to Betty Sanders and to this union one child was born, Synethia (Carlton) Hendrix.

Preceding him in death was his father; four brothers, Willie P., Larry, Gene and Clarence Cobb and two sisters, Cinderella and Betty.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, his wife and his daughter; three grandchildren; two brothers, Melvin and Stanley Hudson; three sisters, Rose Hudson, Melsene Tyson and Lisa (Johnnie) Chism; and many other relatives and friends that will truly miss him.
