Mr. Lester Clinton Cross, Jr., son of the late Lester Clintin Cross and Marguette Young- Cross, was born in Whiteville, Tennessee on January 28, 1952.

His private service was held on Friday May 22, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Jerome Boyd Chapel @ Dixie FH with Pastor Eugene Ellison in charge.  Burial was in the  Bolivar Community Cemetery-Bolivar and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service

Lester repented and came back to the Lord before he was called home on May 15, 2020. He was listed as a member of Zion Temple #1 Church of God in Christ. 

After returning from Detroit, Michigan, in the late 1960's, Lester returned to Tennessee and became a member of the last graduating class from Allen - White High School in 1970. He attended Tennessee State University fro approximately two years before returning home to be with his family after the passing of his father. He was studying to be an architectural engineer. Lester joined the US Army, served faithfully and received an honorable discharge. 

Around 1974, Lester met the love of his life, Miss Dorothy Chism. Their union, produced three children. A son, Lester Cross Jr., sister-in-law, Stella Gregory, and two brothers-in-law: Johnny Gregory and James Chism all preceded him in death. 

His memory will be cherished by his loving wife of forty-three years, Dorothy Cross; two loving children: Corey Cross and Alicia Cross; three grandchildren: Corey Cross II, Theo Cross and Chloe Cross; two sisters: Shirley Cross and Maudean (Robert) Armour; three sisters-in-law: Ida (John) McKinnie, Kattie Cobb, Pearl Chism; four brothers-in-law: Joe Chism, Arthur (Pearline) Chism, and Aaron (Sandra) Chism; a special nephew Fredie (Tjuana) Cross; and a host of nieces and nephews whose lives he has impacted forever.
