Willie “Besome” Rivers, age 72, was born July 13, 1949 in Ashland, Mississippi to the late Cornelius and Marie Rivers. Willie accepted Christ at an early age.

His funeral service was held on Sunday September 26, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Dixie Funeral Home with Pastor James Morgan in charge.  Burial was in the Hardaway MB church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.  

Willie was united in Holy Matrimony to Shelia Rivers in 1984. To this union, three children was born. One son; Willie Thomas Rivers Jr. preceded him in death.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife; Shelia Rivers: two children; Natasha Rivers of Saulsbury, TN, and Elsie (Cortez) Smith of Grand Junction, TN: one stepson that he loved as his very own; Joshua (Rachel) Brooks of Brownsville, TN: five grandchildren that he loved dearly; Curasha, Jernee, Cortez, LaRizza, and Ezekiel: his siblings; Jessi (Louise) Rivers of Ashland, MS, Marie Rivers and Hubert (Martha) Rivers of Grand Junction, TN: nine step brothers and sisters: Tommie (Patricia) Mason, Minister Rosie (Willis) Wooden, Pauline Mason, Lizzie (Shem) Smith, Pastor L.B. (Annette) Mason, Lorenzo (Genniver) Mason, Berry Mason, Pennie (Kevin) Smith, and Shela Mason as well as a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, family, and friends.
