AJ Robertson was born in Hardeman County (Tennessee) on December 17,1930 to the late Johnnie Robertson and Alberta Hines-Robertson. Due to the early passing of his mother, he was raised by Bunk and Mae Lou Robertson. God called AJ to eternal rest on March 25, 2017 at Marshall County Medical Center in Lewisburg, TN.
His funeral service was held on Saturday April 1, 2017 at 2:00 noon at Union Hill MB Church with Minister Roscoe Gudger in charge. Burial was in the Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com in charge of the professional service.
AJ was a long time farmer in Hardeman County and was known well for growing those huge watermelons. He confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age at the Simon Chapel M.B. Church in Whiteville, TN.
AJ was preceded in death by three sisters, Laura Bell Champion (Jackson, TN), Bessie Robertson –Dupree (Whiteville, TN), Helen Theus-Perry (Whiteville,TN),one brother John Lee Robertson (Milwaukee, WI), and a special friend Ephan Douglas.
His memories will always be cherished by his daughter; Barbara Jean Tisdale (Milwaukee, WI ), Beverly Ann Pirtle (Lewisburg, TN), Darlene Robertson (Eddie Robertson); his brothers , Bunk (Jackie) Adams, Tyrone (Edna)Robertson both of (Toledo, Ohio), Jimmie Lee (Hertha) Robertson, JA Robertson, Robert (Martha) Robertson; his sisters; Bobby Jean Robertson and Josie Robertson, all of Whiteville, TN; four grandchildren; Shikita Jones and Moses Jones (Tennessee), Nacara Robertson (Ohio), and Tonya Tisdale (Milwaukee, Wisconsin), two great grandchildren; Jaela Robertson and Jackson Robertson Ohio), and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and a close friend Woodrow Whitehorn.
