ALFRED NORRIS LAKE

July 28, 1947 ~ October 20, 2017 (age 70)

Alfred was born July 28, 1947 to Genola Lake in Hickory Valley, TN. 

His funeral service was held on Saturday November 4, 2017 at 11:00 am at Mt. Salem MB Church-Hickory Valley, TN  with Pastor Donald McKinnie, Jr. and burial in Lake Cemetery in charge.  Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service. 

Alfred was affectionately known as “Al”.  He was very educated. He graduated from Allen White High School, TSU– Nashville and went on to receive his Master Degree  at the University of Washington.  He loved fishing and bowling. 

On April 8, 1971; Al was united in Holy Matrimony to Janice Lake, the love of his life.

Al was preceded in death by 2 uncles; Jessie Lake and Willie P. Lake.

Al leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted wife of 46 years; Janice Lake: grandparents; Chester and Millie Lake: three brothers; Donald McKinnie, Charles McKinnie and Eugene McKinnie: two sisters;  Cora A. McKinnie and Brenda McKinnie: one aunt; Geneva Lake Cosby and a host of nieces and nephews.
