Allen Lewis Jones

October 9, 1948 ~ December 27, 2019 (age 71)

Allen Lewis (Tip) Jones was born October 9, 1948 to the late Thomas and Alberta Jones. He departed this life on December 27, 2019 at Bolivar General Hospital.

His funeral service was held on Saturday January 4, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Zion Temple Worship Center with Pastor Lawrence Pirtle in charge.  Burial was in the Hillfield MB Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.

He was educated at Bolivar Industrial High School. Allen accepted Christ at an early age and joined Hillfield MB Church, where he remained a faithful member until his health failed. He was a member of the Mass Choir and President of the Male Chorus. 

He was employed at several jobs including Harmon Automotive (Jervis) and was Owner of "Old Jones' Barbeque. 

Allen was united in Holy Matrimony to Judith Croom and to this union, 6 children were born.  Later in life, both remarried other spouses but remained friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four children: Craig Jones, Karen (Larry) Fuller, Jennifer King, and Lewis (Lance) Jones, four grand children: Rickey Woods, Jr., DeEdward Jones, Kareanna and Unique Jones. 

 Allen leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters: Keisha March of Nashville, Tn and Crystal Jones of Toone, Tn; two sons: Demeco (Sylvia) Polk of Whiteville, Tn and Cedric Jones of Toone, Tn; Father -in-law: George (The late Mary) Croom of Toone, Tn; one son in law: Larry Fuller of Jackson, Tn; three step daughters: Ann (Corey) Anderson, LaShaun Anderson, and Latoya Anderson; three sisters: Mattie Hunter of Mansfield, OH, Mae (Frankie) March of Medon, Tn, and Linda Rivers of Toone, Tn; six brothers: Minister James (Mary) Jones of Toone, Tn, Vick (Shirley) Jones of Medon, Tn, Larry (Marilyn) Jones of Denmark, Tn, Roy (Martha) Jones of Bolivar, Tn, Phillip (Gloria) Jones of Toone, Tn, and Fitzgerald (Brenda) Jones of Bolivar, Tn; 20 grandchildren, 9 great grand children and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
