BOBBIE (GIBSON) HILL

April 28, 1932 ~ June 23, 2017 (age 85)

Mrs. Bobbie Gibson Hill was born to the late Mr. Albert and Mrs. Calverta Glass Gibson April 28, 1932 in Benton County, MS.

His funeral service was held on Saturday July 1, 2017 at 12:00 pm at the Union Hill MB  Church with Pastor Randell Woodard in charge. Burial was in the Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined the Union Hill MB Church. She was a faithful church worker as Sunday School secretary and served on the Usher Board for over sixty years until her health failed. She graduated from Rust College in 1961 with a B. S. Degree in Secondary Education.  She retired from the Benton County Public School System after thirty years of teaching.

Mrs. Hill was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. James Timmons Hill, Sr. to this union, one son was born.

She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted son, James T. Hill, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Cherry Todd-Hill of Michigan City, MS; three brothers, Maso (Tinnie) Gibson, Sr., UC (Roberta) Gibson, Sr. both of Michigan City, MS and  Willie (Annie) Gibson of Kokomo, IN; one brother-in-law Walter Henry (Thelma) Hill of Memphis, TN; three sister-in-law's, Fannie Starks, Rosie Franklin, and Ida Nelson all of Memphis, TN; one step-daughter, Ms. Janet (Eugene) Anderson of Moscow, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
