CLIFTON POLK, JR.

September 26, 1951 ~ May 3, 2017 (age 65)

Clifton Polk, Jr. was born September 26, 1951 to the late Mr. Clifton Polk, Sr. and Mrs. Mary Crowder in Bolivar, TN. He was the second son of three boys. His older brother preceded him in death.

His funeral service was held on Saturday May 13, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Campbell Chapel MB Church with Elder Johnnie C. Nelson delivering the eulogy.  Burial was in the Bolivar Community Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefunealhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

Clifton confessed hope in Christ at Campbell Chapel MB Church of Bolivar, TN at an early age.

Clifton graduated from Bolivar Industrial High School. Shortly after graduating, he was drafted into the United States Army and served two terms during the Vietnam War. While serving his country, he was awarded six Medals and Parachutist Badge. Clifton also received the Good Conduct Medal and Bronze Star Medal. After retiring from active duty, he served in the National Guard his rank was SSG.

Clifton was a loving and compassionate man, he and his brother, Amos, were as close as brothers could be. He was blessed with a wonderful daughter, Jessica, whom he loved dearly.

“Jack,” will be greatly missed by many. His mild-mannered and caring spirit touched the lives of many.

On May 3rd, God in his infinite wisdom, dispatched an angel to Northbrooke Health Care & rehabilitation Center to separate the soul of Clifton from his ailing body and carried him to a place of rest to await the return of his Lord and Savior.

Loving and fond memories of Clifton will be cherished by his beloved daughter, Ms. Jessica Polk and her mother, Ms. Shirley Futrell Talialerro; two step-daughters: Jametria Jone and Crenesha Futrell; three grandsons: Bryndarious nad Michael Futrell, and Jahzar McClellan; one brother, Mr. Amos Wayne Polk; one niece, Disa Yancy; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
