EASTER V PRICE

April 26, 1926 ~ March 22, 2017 (age 90)

Easter Violent Price was affectionately known as ‘Ms. Easter’ was born April 26, 1926 in Hickory Valley, Tennessee and departed this life on March 22, 2017. She was one of thirteen children born to the late Mr. Willis and Mrs. Christina Jones Lockett.

Her funeral service was held on Saturday April 1, 2017 at 1:00 noon at Greater Springfield MB Church with Pastor Robert Parham in charge.  Burial was in the Mount Holly Cemetery (Mount Holly, New Jersey) and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com in charge of the professional service.

Easter confessed her faith in Christ early in life at Hillfield MB Church. In 1964 she loved to Mount Holly, NJ where she united with Second Baptist Church.  In 1987 she moved to Bolivar, TN and joined Greater Springfield Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Robert Parham.

Ms. Easter traveled to many countries and many cities within the United States with her husband, the late Master Sergeant Herbert G. Price, Sr.

In addition to eleven siblings, she is preceded in death by a son, Herbert Jr., a daughter, Alinda, one grandson, Bryan and her second husband, L.C. Chism.

After a 30 year career in Nursing, Ms. Easter retired from the Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital of Browns Mills, New Jersey.

Her first love was the LORD; her conversation was about His goodness. Her lifestyle was evidence of her strong faith. Her second love was her family. Her hobby was gardening; growing her own vegetables and planting spring flowers.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Elvera (Terry) Frye of Huntsville, AL; son, Mr. Rodney (Debbie) Price of Palmer, Alaska; a sister, Mrs. Sarah Robinson of Bolivar, TN; two granddaughters: Kisha McDougle and Dionne DuBose-McClinton; six grandsons: Maurese Nelson, Archie B. Galloway IV, Robert Parizo, Rodney Carl Jr, Rio and Regis Price; six great grandsons: Darian DuBose-Ball, Myles Nelson,Titan, Preston, Oakley Price and Joshua Price; six great-granddaughters: Kyletha Johnson, Megan McClinton, Layla and Nahla Galloway, Nevayah and Ammeia Price and a  host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
