EDWARD JAMES VAUGHT

May 28, 1963 ~ April 22, 2017 (age 53)

Edward James Vaught was born May 28, 1963 to the union of Frank & Geanie Franklin Vaught. He was the youngest of eight children.  He was  preceded in death by his father, two brothers, one sister and one niece.

His funeral service was held on Saturday April 29, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Jerome Boyd Chapel @ Dixie FH with Pastor Patrick Tisdale, Jr. in charge. Burial was in the Bolivar Community Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

Edward was raised in Bolivar and attended Hardeman County School.  He confessed a hope in Christ and united with Oak Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Patrick Tisdale, Jr.  He was a client  employed at Madison Haywood Developmental Services until he retired in 2016.
Edward loved everyone especially his mother & family.  His life was simple.  He loved life and had much joy and laughter in his heart.  He loved  going to the wrestling with his sister Betty, bowling, out to eat and sitting on the porch waving at everyone that blew at him.  He was a big kidder and loved having fun with his family & friends.  He will be truly missed.
Those who will cherish his memories are: his loving mother; Geanie Vaught Higgs: four sisters; Velma (Charlie) Holt of Memphis, Tn., Martha (Gene) Shields, Betty (Jessie) Chism of Bolivar, TN and Dianne Kirnes of Huntsville, AL.: one brother; Davis Higgs of Bolivar, TN.: two foster brothers; David and Lorenzo Wilkes of Bolivar, TN.: one aunt; Imogene Blalock of Denmark, Tn.: one sister in law; Darlene Boyle of Memphis, TN.: one roommate; Craig Martin: four special friends that was very dear to him; Glenda Valentine, Robert Jones, Gene Shields and  Jessie Chism and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
