June 29, 2017 was the season and time for God to claim one of his own, Elvis Lawrence Griggs, Sr. (Big E). He was preceded in death by his father, brother, Terry Brint Griggs, and two loving sisters, Vivian Joyce Griggs-Jenkins/Williams, and Wanda Kay Griggs Polk.

The fall of 1963 was the season and time for Elvis to begin his education.  He attended elementary and high school in Hardeman County.  He graduated from Bolivar Central High School in 1975.  A season and time to be involved in many aspects of sport.  Elvis enjoyed playing and coaching the city youth league.  He was a fan of many sports.  He also enjoyed watching basketball games; the L. A. Lakers was his favorite team.  Furthermore, he loved golf and was an avid golfer.

On June 29, 2017, the season and time came for Elvis to depart from his earthly home.  He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving wife: Sandra W.
