Reverend James Daniel Justice

November 30, 1957 ~ December 30, 2019 (age 62)

On November 30, 1957, the man we all have grown to know and love, James Daniel Justice, was born into this world to the late Estelle Sain Justice and the late James Andrew Justice. 

His funeral service was held on Sunday January 5, 2020 at 12:00 noon at Mt. Olive MB Church in Middleton, Tn  with Pastor Derron Williams in charge.  Burial was in the Pleasant Grove Saulsbury Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.

James got his start in education at Bolivar Elementary School. In his eighth grade year, the family moved to Middleton, Tn, where he attended Middleton High School.

In his late 30's, he took a test to receive his GED and passed. He was proud of GED, because he passed without studying, and bragged about how smart he was, saying, "All I had to do was pray."

James Justice was a member of Oak Hill MB Church until he met, Miss Alice Bowden, and they exchanged marital vows on January 4, 1976. They was blessed with two daughters and one son. James worked hard to provide for his family. He worked on various jobs, but the longest lasting employment was 23 years as a maintenance man for Bilt Rite Corp. in Ripley, Ms.

James joined Pleasant Grove Saulsbury MB Church and was a faithful member. He served diligently as a choir member and deacon. In 1994, he acknowledged his call by God into the ministry. 

In 1998, James Daniel was elected Pastor of Pleasant Grove Saulsbury MB Church and served until his demise. 

Reverend James Daniel Justice is survived by his loving wife, Alice Justice of 43+ years; three children, Sharon (Maurice) Anderson, Cynthia Justice, and James (Cherrell) Justice II, all of Bolivar, Tn; a child whom, in their hearts, they have adopted, Keyshawn Lewis; ten grandchildren: Sheres, Jerry II, Jacob, Madison, Allison, Zadrian, Za'Kaela, Jamesia, Jasline, and Evette; two great grand children: Nova and Daniel; three brothers: Arzell (mose Ella) Sain, Carl Ray (Peggy) Justice and David Justice, all of Bolivar, Tn; three sisters: Annie (Grady) Harris, Yolanda Justice, Cathryn Damon of Selmer, Tn and a host of other relatives and friends.
