James (Bubba Cat) Williams, Sr.

James Alexander Williams, Sr. of Bolivar passed away at home on Wednesday August 28, 2019. He was born May 10, 1950 and the only son born to the late James I. Williams and Deborah Marshall Williams.
His funeral service was held on Saturday August 31, 2019 at 12:00 pm at Zion Temple Worship Center with Elder Anthony T. Williams in charge. Burial was in the Bolivar Community Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.
He attended Bolivar industrial School and graduated from Jackson Merry High School. He attended Jackson State Community College where he received certification as a Emergency Medical Technician.
On December 9, 1967 he married Dorothy Ann Jones and to this relationship four children were born.
He was a member of Zion Temple Worship Center where he served faithfully in various capacities. He was a community servant as well and was he was was a school bus driver, Bolivar City Councilman, Hardeman County EMT and bail bondsman.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of fifty-two years; his children, Anthony "Tony", Scedric D., James A., Jr."Jamie" (Sholanda) Williams and Nikki Giovanni (Craig) Williams; three sisters, Mattie L. Sain, Azie L. McTizic and Hester (Paul) Reaves; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives that will truly miss him.
