MAY 12, 1926 ~ DECEMBER 14, 2018 (AGE 92)

Mrs. Mae Ida Beard was born to Mrs. Ida Armstrong Curry and Mr. Thomas Jefferson Curry on May 12, 1926. She was the youngest of the family. She went on to live with God on December 14, 2018.

She attended school at Merry High School in Jackson, TN. She loved to cook and make pillows. Mrs. Mae was employed by Winter Garden (Tennessee Foods) Bolivar and Rossville, TN. She was later employed at Bolivar Community Hospital where she worked until retirement. She served as school grandparent at Bolivar Elementary School after her retirement… yes, she kept working after retiring. She finally decided to stop working and came home to care for her flowers which she truly enjoyed.

Mrs. Mae, as she was so affectionately known, has 3 children that preceded her in death. Thomas Henry Beard, Grace Ann Beard-Jarrett, and M.B. Beard are all in heaven awaiting their mother. She was the last of the Curry siblings and she lived a long, productive life of 92 years.

She leaves to cherish the fond memories, one daughter (Connie Curry), one son (Tracy Howard Curry), 2 daughter-in-laws (Mary Beard and Lois Curry), 7 grand-children, 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She leaves behind one special telephone buddy in Mrs. Annie Godwin.
