Mr. Robert Lee Simpson was born August 12, 1958 in Hickory Valley, TN to the late Mr. L,D, & Mrs. Louise Gray-Simpson. He departed this life Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN at the age of 61.

His funeral service was held on Saturday September 7, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Mt. Olive MB Church with Pastor Arthur Lee McKinnie in charge.  Burial was in the Bethlehem MB Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.

He was preceded in death by four sisters; Dorothy, Shirleen, Nancy, and Thelma Simpson: two brothers; Sammie and Joey Simpson.
Robert basic education was obtained in the public schools of Hornsby, TN.

Robert accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and joined Hillfield M.B. Church in Toone, TN.

Robert was gainfully employed as a Timber Cutter for Simmons Logging for Mathew Simmons. His greatest joys were fishing and taking care of his family until his health failed.

Robert L. Simpson is survived by his wife of 41 years; Diane Simpson : two daughters; Tamara Scates and Lashanda (Marcus) Simpson Joy of Bolivar, TN.: four sons, the late Elcarlos (Renata) Simpson, Marchello (Shauna Blaylock) Simpson, Jamarious Simpson, and Montrella Simp-son all of Bolivar, TN.: four sisters, Betty Simpson of Henderson, TN., Brenda Simpson of Bolivar, TN., Phyllis Simpson of Jackson, TN., and Martha Reeves of Memphis, TN.: Five brothers; Bobby Simpson, and Billy Simpson of Henderson, TN., David Simpson and Richard Simpson of Bolivar, TN., and Lawrence (Marlita) Simpson of Nashville, TN.: two sister in laws, Lavera Wilkes and Betty Simpson of Bolivar, TN.: five brother in laws; Thomas (Lizzie) McNeal, the late Robert Scates, JR., Don Scates, and Tony Scates all of Bolivar, TN., and Rickey Scates of Mutterstadt, Germany; fifteen grandchildren, three special friends; De-wayne Ford of Hillville, TN., Yuri (Alby) Mestas of Brownsville, TN and Jordan Overbolt of Toone, TN. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts, friends.
