Thomas McClellan

Thomas Edward McClellan was born May 6, 1935 to the late Todd and Fannie McClellan of Bolivar, TN.
His funeral service was held on Sunday September 8, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Jerome Boyd Chapel at Dixie Funeral Home with Pastor Lawrence Pirtle charge. Burial was in the Bolivar Community Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.
Thomas departed this earthly life in the early hours on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at the Pine Meadows Health & Rehabilitation in Bolivar, TN. Thomas was a member of Hillfield M.B. Church in Toone, TN.
Thomas was a retired employee from the State of TN. He worked in maintenance department of Nat T. Winston Developmental Center. “Wolf” as he was affectionately called by so many was an amazing car-penter. He had a style of work that was truly his own unique spin on everything that he made. If it could be fixed (rigged up), Thomas (Wolf) could and would do just that. Another love of his was the joy of cooking, especially grilling on those special one of a kind grills he made.
Preceding Thomas in death are his parents; daughter, Yolanda McClellan: four brothers; Prewitt McClellan, Willie Hugh McClellan, Benjamin McClellan, and Nathaniel McClellan: two sisters; Willie B. Buntyn, and Mary Louise Jones.
Thomas leaves to cherish his many memories: six children; Evangelist Lynda (Robert) Shivers of Humbolt, TN., Thomas Earl (Sonya) McClellan of Corinth, MS., David (Marvita) Robinson of Jackson, TN., Delois Johnson, Nina McClellan, and Steven McClellan all of Bolivar, TN. Some of the happiest times that Thomas had in his last few years were the times when he was around his grand and great grandchildren. He had very special nicknames he would call them. He leaves eight grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Also left to share his memories are two sisters; Earlene Watkins, Pauline Dotson: two brothers; James (Margie) McClellan, and Lonnie (Jackie) McClellan, a special friend Gussie McNeal all of Bolivar, TN. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
