Ada Elizabeth Moore

May 26, 1931 ~ June 27, 2026 (age 95)

Ada Elizabeth Moore was born May 26, 1931 in Bolivar, TN to the late Alice Pirtle and Dave Smith.

Her funeral service was held on Friday July 3, 2026 at 11:00 am at Greater Springfield MB Church with Pastor Shon Beasley was in charge.  Burial was in the Bolivar Community Cemetery.  Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com is in charge of the professional service.

She attended Hardeman County School system. Mother Ada loved spending time her family.

She was employed at ST. Mary Hospital in St. Louis, MO as a dietician.

After relocating to Tennessee, she worked and retired from Western Sate Mental Health Center.

Mother Ada accepted Christ at an early age. As a faithful member of Greater Springfield Church, Ada served faithfully on many auxiliaries.

She served as a member of the Missionary Society, Pastor’s Aid Club, Mother Board and long time on the Usher Board.

Mother Ada was united in Holy Matrimony to the late James Moore, Sr. to this union, six children was born.

As Mother Ada approached Heaven’s door, her parents and her husband greeted her at the gate. Also waiting on her arrival was one son, Calvin Moore; one grandson, Calvin Moore, Jr.; five sisters, Betty Lacy, Martha Pirtle, Dewey Johnson, Katie Pirtle, and Susan Coby; two brothers, Charles Sanders and Willie Pirtle. Mother Ada leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Denise Reeves, Gladys (Tommy) Bell, and Patricia Martin; two sons, Maurice Moore and James Moore, Jr.; fifteen grandchildren, Latonya Waddell, Spencer Reeves, Christopher Anderson, Amber Moore, Kim Moore, Porche Martin, Jejuan Martin, Rayrequis Blakemore, Rickey Hill, Alexandria Blakemore, Maurice Moore, Jr., Ivan Moore, Kenya Moore, Katera Moore, Kendra Moore, and a host of nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and friends who will cherish the memory of Mother Ada Moore.
