Alice Inize Hudson Smith of Toone passed away on November 24, 2023.  She was born on January 19, 1957 to Hattie Mae Hudson and the late Calvin C. Hudson.  

Her funeral service was held on Friday December 1, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Hillfield MB Church with Pastor Larence Pirtle in charge.  Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.  

She was a member of Hillfield MBC where she accepted Jesus Christ at a young age.

She was also known as "Nizie" and was a loving and compasionate person who found joy helping others.  She enjoyed designing arts and crafts, especially those for the holidays.

She attended the Hardeman County public schools and was a Bolivar Central High School graduate.  

She was married to the late James Nathaniel Smith.  They raised two children, Carlos Hudson and Jannize Smith.

She was employed with the United States Department of Transportation, United States Postal Service and Hardeman County schools.  

Preceding her in death was her father and husband.

She leaves to cherish her memory her mother and children; siblings Shirley (Jerry) Hays, Gladys Poindexter, Lillion (Fredrick) Thomas and Calvin Hudson, Jr.; three grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends that will truly miss her.
