September 19, 1946 ~ June 12, 2020 (age 73)

Anjilena Cheairs, 73, passed away on Friday June 12, 2020 in Memphis.  She was born on September 19, 1946 to the late Calvin and Winnie L. Reeder Cheairs.

Her service was held on Saturday June 27, 2020 at 12:00 pm at St. Paul MB Church - Byhalia, MS with burial in Grand Junction Cemetery in Grand Junction, Tn with Dr. Andrew Cheairs in charge and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.

She received her education in the Hardeman County public schools. 

She lived in Chicago for several years and later returned to Grand Junction.  

She was employed with Harmon Automotive until she was injured in an automobile accident.  She was a child of God and attended Pleasant Grove MB Church and later Rivers of Life International Ministries. 

She was known in the Grand Junction community as the "snow cone lady" but she was most know for her singing with the gospel Songbirds along with her siblings including her twin, Reverend Andrew Cheairs. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Francis Cheairs.

She leaves to cherish her memory three children, Wanda Dubose Henderson (Tyrone), Teresa Polk (Frank) and Andrew Cheairs, Jr. (Chandra); one brother Pastor Andrew Cheairs (Gladys); three sisters, Emily Thompson, Bettie Trice (Milton) and Patricia Cheairs; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends that will truly miss her.
