Annette (McBride) Anderson

May 19, 1947 ~ July 24, 2022 (age 75)

Annette McBride Anderson was born in the small town of Medon, TN on May 19, 1947, to J.D. McBride and Juanita Bass McBride.

She departed this life on July 24, 2022, at Jackson General Hospital in Jackson, TN.

Her funeral service was on Friday July 29, 2022 at 11:00 am at Jerome Boyd Chapel @ Dixie FH with Pastor David Perry in charge.  Burial was in the Anderson Memorial Garden and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

She attended Madison County public school where she was a member of the West High School Class of 1965.

Annette accepted Christ at an early age at Blairs Chapel CME Church and later became a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church No. 1 in Medon, TN. Throughout her entire life, she was a devoted Christian. Annette enjoyed studying the Bible, participating in biblical discussions and was a huge giver to anyone in need.

On September 16, 1967, she married her soulmate, friend and the love of her life; Ervin Anderson (Pawpaw) of Toone, TN. The two built a beautiful life together and were successful entrepreneurs. They loved to travel and they loved their family. Annette was also a loving mother and beloved friend to many. She was employed at Harmon International for 26 years. Shortly afterward, she attended the Tennessee College of Applied Technology where she learned to build and repair computers. For several years, she worked for the Hardeman Country School district as a substitute teacher and with Home Health as a caregiver. Annette loved her community and the children. So she created a scholarship fund for graduating high school seniors to give back to the community.

She was preceded in death by a loving husband, Ervin Anderson; a granddaughter, Cortney Anderson, her parents; brothers, Leon McBride and R.D. McBride; sisters, Suvera McBride, Reva Mae Justice, Hiwatha Greer, and Michelle Fuller.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving son, Terry Anderson of Memphis, TN, daughters Shantrell (Tyrone) Dowell of Panama City, FL, Samone Anderson of Toone, TN; granddaughters Ternyce Anderson, McKenzie Dowell, and Emary Dowell; sister Gertrude March of Medon, TN; brothers Rev. Richard (Maxine) McBride of Jackson, TN, and Daniel (Betty) McBride of Harper Woods, MI; sister-in-law Yvonne Anderson Finley of Detroit, MI, goddaughter Anita Robertson of Whiteville, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
