A Time to Be Born

Jerry Charles Cox, a beloved soul whose life and legacy we celebrate today entered this world on July 25, 1950 and in that moment the world was forever changed. Born in Humboldt, Tennessee to Pete and Estelle Cox, Jerry brought light, love, laughter and hope to all who met him. From the very beginning, Jerry exhibited a remarkable zest for life.

A time to be born is a time of pure potential, and Jerry harnessed that potential throughout his journey. In the years that followed his birth, Jerry navigated the challenges and joys of life, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who crossed his path. His laughter echoed in the hearts of friends and family, and his kindness illuminated the lives of many. Jerry’s time to be born was a gift to us all, and his legacy will forever remind us of the profound impact that every life can have, from the moment of one’s first breath until their last.

A Time to Rejoice

JC, as he was affectionately known, realized the joy of earning a quality education. Graduating from Stigall High School, Humboldt, TN, Lambeth College, Jackson, TN, University of Kentucky School of Law, Lexington, KY, and Vanderbilt University School of Law, Nashville, TN were momentous achievements. His mother was his biggest fan and could not have been prouder of him. Jerry was extremely grateful and always rejoiced as he shared and helped others in acquiring the knowledge, skills, growth and personal development that was evidenced from his educational journey.

A Time to Sow

Jerry was a shining example of one that dedicated and committed his life to sowing good seeds in the community. As a long time, respected Sunday morning talk radio personality, WNWS (The Other Side), he consistently advocated and planted the seeds of positive change in the lives of others.
