Barnie Calvin Bills of Bolivar passed away at home on Thursday December 10, 2020.  He was born on August 3, 1952 to the late Robert Bills and Lois Woods Bills.  

His funeral service was held on Saturday December 19, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Jerome Boyd Chapel at Dixie Funeral Home with Pastor Jermaine Shaw in charge.  Burial was in the Antioch MB Church Cemetery-Whiteville and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service. 

He professed a love for Jesus Christ at a young age and joined Old Bethel MB Church.  He later joined Antioch MBC where he served as a Decon. He was also a member of the fraternal order of Masonry.

He was educated in the Hardeman County public schools beginning at Bolivar Industrial School and graduating from Central High School.  He was one of Central High Schools first black football players.

He was employed at Harmaon Automotive, the Bolivar Tannery and CCA of Whiteville until his health failed.    

He was married to his wife Jeannie B Herron for forty-two years.

His hobbies included bowling, playing cards, watching movies, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and spending time with family.  

Preceding him in death were his parents, a former wife, Kathleen Minter Bills and one sister, Barbara Bills.

He leaves to cherish his wife of forty-two years; four children, Kawanna, Stevie,Barnie, Jr. (Latifa) and Bryan; nine brothers, Robert, Melvin, Bo, Bill, Larry, Kenneth,Darrell, Charles, Lonnell and James; four sisters, Betty, Virgil, Doris and Frances (Jerry); five grandchildren and many other relatives and friends that will truly miss him.
